Practice Centers
Each Practice Center makes continuous investments to improve practices, tools, and work products. Each Practice Center has five or more senior company employees with a Coordinator responsible for scheduling peer reviews, vetting lessons learned, evaluating staff performance, defining training requirements, and collecting project work products in the company-wide Project Workbench. The Practice Center participants use their experience on projects and conducting peer reviews to update our practices, tools, metrics, skill requirements, and deliverables for the workflows in our system development life cycle.
Project managers and team leads call upon the Practice Centers for guidance, quality assurance, and assistance when needed. The Project Manager will call upon the Practice Center to participate in peer reviews of project deliverables. The Peer review provides a fresh perspective, promote sharing ideas and lessons learned, and overall keep team members aware of the latest capabilities.
We currently have Practice Centers for:
- Business Architecture and Analysis
- Technical Architecture and Middleware Infrastructure
- Design, Development, and Implementation;
- Transition Management; and
- Project Management.
In the coming year we intend to organize a new Practice Center for Business Intelligence that bring together specialists in data warehouse design, star schema databases, analytics, reporting tools, dashboards, benchmarking, master data management, fuzzy logic, data transformation and data conversion.
