Transition to Maintenance and Operations

The ability to successfully turn the system over includes up to date and complete system documentation, good training materials, and a team dedicated to sharing what it knows. In addition to the staff assigned to system support, we will provide staff involved in the original system development effort. The original staff will ensure the on-site staff provides a full and effective knowledge transfer and mentoring for the assigned State staff.

Activities we will perform include:

  • We will assemble a Turnover Management Team prior to go-live.
  • The Turnover Management Team will prepare a Knowledge Transfer Plan that addresses all needed application documentation, system administration processes, training materials, and activities that will be performed in the four weeks following go-live.
  • The Plan will also explain the support Trinity will provide in the four weeks following implementation of the first system module:  examples of this support include performance tuning, showing DWR staff how to do design, build, test, and implementation of system fixes and how to follow the same process for future enhancements.
  • The Turnover Management Team will oversee the implementation of all the tasks listed in the Knowledge Transfer Plan to ensure the tasks are performed in accordance with the contract requirements, including: the assessment and update of documentation, the submission of a Turnover Work Plan and the transfer of contract operations.
